After a busy weekend of skiing, curling, and board games, we decided to bump our Something Saturday until Monday night. And we were certainly glad we did when we were sipping on sake and eating delicious Japanese food after a long day of work.

During the second half of our trip back to the UK for Christmas, we headed up to London for a couple of days to catch up with some of Luke's friends. Of course, before heading back to Bath again for New Year's Eve, we were sure to find one new thing to do in London (it isn't hard).
To kick-off the holiday season, we went to Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday night to witness the Cavalcade of Lights!
Last weekend Luke was a bit under the weather, so we opted for a fairly low key Something Saturday where we could just sit down in a dark room and listen to people talking, at the Hot Docs Podcast Festival.
On Saturday night, we headed out to an event with no idea what to expect. That event was "Generator Toronto", and we were incredibly glad we went!
This weekend the Art Gallery of Ontario was free to all ROM members - like us! - so we headed down to check out their latest exhibition, Mystical Landscapes. While it cost us a bit extra, it featured work by Gaugin, Monet, Van Gogh, Georgia O'Keefe and the Group of Seven so it was well worth the price of admission.
With three additional people squeezed into our 1 bedroom apartment over Halloween weekend - visitors, zombies, and theme park rides were the most prominent parts of our most recent Something Saturday!
This weekend Luke was pretty busy representing Holland Bloorview at the Capital One Gift The Code Hackathon, but we still managed to get in a few hours of exploring another neighbourhood of Toronto. This time, we set out to Christie Station to visit Korea Town, where we enjoyed some tasty lunch, and toilet-themed desserts.
On Saturday, we stayed out late with the masses, wandering around the streets of downtown Toronto admiring the contemporary art exhibitions of Nuit Blanche!
Lately, it seems as if our weekends have been more outside of Toronto than in, and we continued that trend this past weekend by visiting Peter and Emily in Montreal! Elizabeth lived in Montreal for eight months and this was Luke’s third weekend trip to Montreal so we didn’t feel the need to see all of the top tourist attractions but, in saying that, we still managed to do quite a lot without really intending to.
