Our long weekend in Dublin continued with lots of strolling around the city and ended with a day trip to the amazing archaeological sites of Tara and Newgrange!
We extended our May 2-4 long weekend by one day and managed to squeeze in a trip to Dublin! We spent the weekend exploring the city and seeing lots of sights with Luke's mom (aka "Mum") and sister, before heading out to the countryside for a day trip on our last day.
The last three days of our road trip around the Yucatán Peninsula were spent at the southern end of the Riviera Maya, in Tulum. We enjoyed snorkeling, exploring more Maya ruins, climbing up a shaky wooden structure in a biosphere reserve, and an afternoon of relaxing at the beach.
After enjoying our time exploring Valladolid and its surroundings, we headed further into the jungle to explore the ruins and caves of the Ruta Puuc area!
Our weeklong road trip around the Yucatán Peninsula took us around the Mexican states of Yucatán and Quintana Roo. Our first stop was the beautiful colonial town of Valladolid where we spent 2 days exploring Chichén Itzá, swimming in a cave, admiring Mexican Folk Art, and just wandering around the town taking it all in.
