It was the May 24th long weekend this past weekend, so, on Friday evening after work we hopped on plane and made our way out East to visit Rebecca, Andy and Floyd in Saint John, New Brunswick!
Lately, it seems as if our weekends have been more outside of Toronto than in, and we continued that trend this past weekend by visiting Peter and Emily in Montreal! Elizabeth lived in Montreal for eight months and this was Luke’s third weekend trip to Montreal so we didn’t feel the need to see all of the top tourist attractions but, in saying that, we still managed to do quite a lot without really intending to.
This past Saturday we set off on a winter adventure, escaping the city for a day of dog sledding, snow shoeing, and hanging out with puppies!
We delayed our Something Saturday this week until Monday so that we could attend Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield’s talk with Elizabeth's family!
During our last few days in Toronto we walked through the Distillery District, spent an afternoon on the Toronto Islands, went all out at Canada’s Wonderland, and finished up our visit by checking out the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)!
Day 4 of our Toronto trip took us outside the city for a day trip with Elizabeth’s parents down to Niagara Falls.
During our Friday in Toronto, we stayed in the CN Tower area and completed the EdgeWalk outside the Tower, visited the Steam Whistle Brewery, and took in the underwater wonders of Ripley’s Aquarium.
This past week we took a trip to Toronto, taking in the sights, visiting friends and celebrating Elizabeth's aunt's retirement! It was a great trip, packed with lots of new experiences.
We spent the Thanksgiving weekend in Halifax visiting Elizabeth's sister, Rebecca! And in true Something Saturday fashion, we saw a variety of things and tried to take in as much as we could during our 3 days there (including: riding Segways).
