We spent most of this past weekend at Elizabeth's family's cabin in Ocean Pond, with her family. Then, since Luke had the day off work for the Discovery Day holiday on Monday (and Elizabeth is currently unemployed so everyday is a holiday) we did our 'Something' at Salmonier Nature Park on Monday!

We had a pretty busy and fun-filled weekend, including going to TEDx St. John's on Friday, spending Saturday and part of Sunday in Bunyan's Cove, and ending with the First Annual Father's Day Hike on Monday evening. Yes, that was the actual colour of the sky in Bunyan's Cove on Saturday evening. Amazing.
On Saturday we ventured across Conception Bay to Bell Island and had a chance to explore an abandoned iron ore mine, amongst other things!
This past Saturday we decided to check out a Provincial Historic Site in our neighbourhood - Commissariat House. We had no idea what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised! The exhibit in the Carriage House was new, artsy, and modern, while Commissariat House itself was restored in 1820's character.
