This weekend Elizabeth’s brother Peter, and his girlfriend, Emily, came all the way from Montréal to hang out with us on our long weekend, so we ended up trying out lots of new things! First stop, the Ontario Science Centre.

This past Saturday we set off on a winter adventure, escaping the city for a day of dog sledding, snow shoeing, and hanging out with puppies!  Elizabeth in her element. For the second half of our Christmas in Newfoundland, we continued to play games, visit friends and family, and also took in some live Newfoundland music!  The Once in concert This weekend we headed out of town with a few friends to enjoy the sunny weather and a picnic by the sea!  On Saturday we headed out of town for a camping adventure with our friends, in Terra Nova National Park!  Luke's friend, Jon, came to visit St. John's during our first substantial snow of the year! On Saturday night we escaped the weather and had a fancy dinner at Bacalao, Nouvelle Newfoundland Cuisine. 
On Sunday we finally tried out Geocaching! We started our Geocaching adventures at Long Pond, but finding the Geocaches turned out to be much harder than we expected…

This past weekend was Luke’s parents’ last weekend in Newfoundland, so we took them to Bay Roberts and Brigus on Saturday before spending the rest of the weekend at the cabin!

Over the weekend we attended a talk by Canadian astronaut, Jeremy Hansen, and saw some talented and skillful dogs at the SuperDogs show!  Speedy SuperDogs |
