First, our group of 8 started off with the foam tip arrows however, to learn basic archery safety, how to load the arrow, and proper form. We then attempted to hit some casual targets with our arm guards and quivers (arrow holders)
When we arrived, we couldn't help but notice the other people at the archery range and their incredibly fancy, gigantic bows and the tiny targets they were aiming for in the distance. Amazed at their skills and the height of bow technology, we pulled out our basic bows and aimed at a large target ~10 yards away. Success! Elizabeth only lost one arrow never to be found again.
For our last few rounds, the instructors pinned a balloon to the target to see if we could pop them. We were definitely one of the teams with the better shooting records and we ended up popping the balloon every time. Luke: 2 Elizabeth: 1
