We stopped by for their Wednesday evening show which featured the Aquiles Baez trio straight from Venezuela, along with impressive opening acts. The show started at 7:30 pm and went on for over 2.5 hours - definitely worth the $15!
The show kicked off with Toronto-based Brazilian guitarist Wagner Petrilli who was nominated for a Canadian Folk Award in 2015. He performed a couple of songs solo and then brought his band on stage for some awesome Brazilian rhythms. You can't go wrong with some casual vibraphone.
Since it was getting late (for a work night), we set off part of the way through the last set, but overall it was a fun Wednesday night out! We will be making out way back to Lula Lounge at some point, no doubt.
Last year, we tried out the new sport of Foot Golf.
In 2014, we visited Toronto while living in Newfoundland. Little did we know that 1.5 years later, we would be living in the city!
And in 2013, we explored an abandoned iron ore mine on Bell Island... on a guided tour, of course.
Also, we just finished putting together a travel video of our time in Asia! All previous travel videos can be found in the Travel section of our website. Enjoy!
