This past weekend, Elizabeth's sister Rebecca got married in St. John's! The weekend, and week before, were very busy with wedding preparations but everything went off without a hitch.. well, except for the one that counts.

This past weekend we headed back to Newfoundland, amid storms and freezing rain, to visit Elizabeth's family and go cheer on Team Gushue at The Brier, Canada's ultimate curling tournament.  The Brier at Mile One Stadium. For the second half of our Christmas in Newfoundland, we continued to play games, visit friends and family, and also took in some live Newfoundland music!  The Once in concert We're spending our Christmas holidays in Newfoundland this year! Between the family hangouts, insane amounts of delicious food and drink, and watching movies on the VCR, we managed to learn some new board games!  Working together to win Pandemic This week we were joined by Elizabeth’s sister, Rebecca, for a morning of learning how to Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) at Rotary Sunshine Park!  This Saturday we headed to the nearby Quidi Vidi Brewery for a tour and some beer tasting.  On Friday we headed out to Torbay, with a couple of friends, to pay some people at Breakout NL to lock us in a room. AH!  This week was a week of film. First taking in a couple of Hollywood blockbusters during the week, before attending the Nickel Independent Film Festival on Saturday!  This weekend we braved the drizzle and fog with a few friends for a round of Foot Golf at Clovelly Golf Course!  On Saturday we learned about urban gardening and enjoyed a fresh homemade meal at the 7th annual FEASt Fest!  |
