We spent our Friday night making and trying out some new cocktails, and then on Saturday we put together a video of our recent travels around England!
On Sunday, we went to Ocean Quest in CBS and got underwater photos taken with Santa Claus! Luke is familiar with SCUBA equipment so he enjoyed his time sitting on Santa’s knee, but for Elizabeth, it was quite the (slightly traumatic) experience.
On Saturday we decided to make our way to some hills in and around St. John's for an afternoon of sliding!
On Saturday morning we decided to check out the new outdoor skating rink in our neighbourhood - the Bannerman Loop!
So our Something Saturday this week was as random as it sounds! We went to Formosa Tea House for lunch, then went mini-golfing, then went to Cymbeline performed by Shakespeare by the Sea, and then went out for Ellice's birthday supper and played pool afterwards. Epic day.
This past Saturday we spent the day in Petty Harbour - zip lining and visiting the new mini aquarium! Petty Harbour is a small picturesque fishing village that is about a 25 minute drive from downtown St. John's.
In anticipation of the zip-lining adventure, we decided that we didn't want to risk dropping or damaging our digital cameras, so we bought disposable cameras and used them for the day! It's unbelievable how different they are to use when you're so comfortable with digital cameras, and taking pictures was a 'something' in itself. Overall, the pictures turned out great and they look a bit retro, which we kind of expected. |
